»Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream
Sunday, 10 June 2012
These days the weather is getting hotter as it's nearing the summer, thus my skin tends to dry out around this period of time.
So i decided to buy this brand's moisturizing cream, CETAPHIL Moisturizing Cream.
"Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream is clinically proven to provide immediate and lasting relief from extremely dry skin. Its unique formula and superior system of emollients and humectants binds water to the skin, preventing moisture loss."
Rating : 8.5/10 (For Dry Skin), 7.5/10 (For helping itchiness)
Pros : Very moisturizing, Thick consistency, Big tub and no smell/fragrance free
Cons : Does not help with itchiness, dries up faster than being absorbed. Pricey.
Will i repurchase? : Yup. It's good to have this product near you as when you feel that your skin is not hydrated enough, you can just slap some of this on and poof! Its hydrated!
So this Cream is actually quite good! But compared to the Physiogel, Physiogel wins in effectiveness.
The consistency of this cream is actually quite thick. Probably the closest consistency i could describe to you.. is that it feels like Vaseline? But not that oily.
It comes in this big tub of 16OZ. And i can say that it really moisturizes well. It also has no smell/fragrance free which is why i kinda trust this product.
I've also used their soap, which is odourless too. And because i have eczema, having a product that has no perfume/smells is great as you will have less chance to have an allergic reaction to that product.
The cons of this product is that because it has so much moisture in the cream itself, in the hot weather of Singapore, the product actually dries up faster than your skin can absorb. But all in all, it is really very moisturizing.
The price of this product is 29.90SGD in your local Guardian stores. It is actually quite pricey but because it's from a famous brand (Hey cetaphil is famous okay~?), it's obvious that it'll be that pricey.
Thanks for reading my review! ^^

»Physiogel - Lotion
Hi guys! this is my first blog entry and i'm going to review Physiogel's Lotion!
As i have sensitive skin and eczema, I'm really cautious of what type of products i use on my skin.
So this this Physiogel's Lotion!
This lotion is pretty good for those people who get rashes. The lotion is quite thick, and it comes out as a blob of white.
"PHYSIOGEL Lotion is a hypoallergenic moisturizing lotion with natural lipids similar to the skin's physiological lipids for the daily care of dry and sensitive skin conditions."
Rating : 8/10 (for itchiness and effectiveness)
Pros : Very effective for the skin. Hydrating
Cons : Very smelly. Not really that appealing.
Would i repurchase? : Not really unless my skin is really bad.
Okay so when i first used this, i applied this on my dry skin and the first thing i could say was OUCH.
Because this lotion is so effective, you can instantly feel the lotion going into your skin.
The bad thing about this lotion is that it STINKS. I mean it really does. It literally smells like vomit.
I applied this on my legs a few times, and when i wore jeans for about a few hours, i took my jeans off and the first thing i smelt was VOMIT. Oh god really.
The smell of this is reeeeaaally bad, and also, when i applied this on my neck, i slept and woke up to the smell of vomit. holy bejezus its really awful.
I was recommended by the skin doctor to use this product, so it is a plus on effectiveness, and also, the bottle is not that solid, you can easily get the product out without any effort.
But all in all, if you're fine with the smell and find this not too bad, i recommend you to buy this. :D
It is not exactly that pricy, nor cheap. It's around 20SGD in your local Guardian stores, and there are other types of the Physiogel Collection, but this was the only one i tried out.
Thanks for reading! :D
